- Born in January, I tend to look back as well as forward in time.The way I think about the world and the people in it was shaped very much by W.W.II and The Cold War of 50 years , until the USSR fell. I was a"Special Member" on "Band Stand" , With I.D.Card in the Fall of 1957,Thanks to my friend Jerry F. I graduated from C.D. High in 1959, but to my way of thinking The Fifties did not end until the year I got out of the USAF , 1963. The year JFK got shot...I traveled to Washington with my Buddy Bob to see him buried, I realized the world was changed forever when I heard the slow drum that accompanied the riderless horse...
